May Wishlist

Kind of excited about my first wishlist, to be honest!
1. Knit Rib Scoop A Line Dress 635 € - Flannels Fashion
Similar dress at an affordable price: 9'95€ - H&M
(I just really want a bright pink dress!)

2. MOTO Vintage Denim Dungaree 44€ - Topshop
I chose this one by Topshop because it's the first one I saw, but honestly I have no preference. I just really want a denim dungaree as well. I might not even be able to pull it off and I'll just look like a farmer.

3. Nail Varnish - Copper 3'95€ - H&M
My experience with glittery nail varnishes from H&M has been good so far, so I really can't let this one go!

4. Blush - Gaiety 30€NARS
I want a pink blush for these sunny times (Pink again! Am I becoming Strawberry Shortcake?!) and everyone seems to love NARS, so I want to give them a go.

5. SEPHORA COLLECTION Rouge Shine Lipstick 12€ - Sephora
My friend Laura got one of the Sephora Collection lipsticks the other day and I've been thinking about it ever since! I believe she got a peachier shade than the one pictured above but anyway can't wait to go and pick one up.

PLUS...
I'm seeing One Direction on the 22nd and I thought adding Zayn Malik to my list might help me meet him? Wishful thinking and all that, haha!

Happy May! :)

Sephora's Wonder Mama

As you can imagine by these pics, we ended up attending the Wonder Mama thing at Sephora this morning! Couldn't convince my wonder mama, but my grandma did want to come along, so *happy dances*

We got there at about 12:30 in the morning and met my friends Laura and Nerea and their lovely moms, got our manicure done for free (no idea about theirs, but I chose was OPI's Shorts Story, pictured above) and you could even have your makeup done, but sadly we were too late for that as we wandered around the aisles for too long! I am fascinated by the amount of Benefit products they have now - has it always been like that or have I always been oblivious to them? Ahhh I don't know, but the Benefit stand is absolutely amazing and I will probably be going bankrupt soon because of it. For now I have only purchased the Primping With The Stars kit, which includes the Stay Don't Stray concealer, the ultra-famous POREfessional, Girl Meets Pearl, Some Kind-a Gorgeous, a small bottle of Benetint and of course the They're Real! mascara. I guess I will be talking about those products one by one once I start trying them out.

So that's what you call a good Saturday morning! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend and carelessly spending your money on things you don't really need like moi.

Friday, Friday... EOTD!

Hello hello!
It's FRIDAY! *happy dance*

And as every Friday, I have the day off, so I have a little more time in the morning to play with my makeup and try new looks. That's why I wanted to do an Eyes Of The Day post.
Sadly, my camera's been playing up and it's not focusing as it should and my undereye circles and this silly cloudy day aren't helping either, so I haven't been able to do much! Anyway this is what's come out of a morning of me getting on my nerves.

> Essence I love Stage Eyeshadow Base
> Sleek Palette (Oh So Special) - Bow, inner corner
> Sleek Palette (Oh So Special) - Organza & Gateau, blended in
> Sleek Palette (Oh So Special) - Celebrate, outer corner and bottom lash line
> Essence Gel Eyeliner - 01 Midnight in Paris
> KIKO False Lashes Concentrate (Volume Top Coat Mascara)

It does look at bit darker than what I was going for so I tried not to get too carried away with the Celebrate shadow, otherwise I feel like it'd be too much for a day look (besides, I had to go to my old high school to pick up some documents, so I thought it wouldn't be too fitting to look like I was going out!).

Also, I was just reading some blogs and I feel like doing the Spring tag, so that will probably be up either tomorrow or Sunday. :)

Have a great weekend!

Wonder Mama & MAC Courses

Hello hello!

Sorry for my absence this week (I know, I know - what a start!) but I've been unexpectedly busy and having terrible headaches, so I haven't been able to sit here and write a proper post. My apologies.

I am here now to talk about this:
I got an e-mail yesterday morning from Sephora and it got me excited all day. Spanish Mother's Day is right around the corner and they're throwing a Wonder Mama party on Saturday April 27th, 12 - 2:30 pm, sponsored by Benefit and the magazine Yo Dona. Makeup, pop art, superheroes, surprises and discounts on all your purchases. I wouldn't miss it for the world...

...but my mom would. She's so not into the makeup world and I'm using the "Mom, but if your daughter dresses up as a superhero you get a gift for every thing you buy!" excuse ("But are you going to dress up as anything?" Well I COULD) but so far she's refusing to go. Sigh.

In other news, my friend Laura recently got an e-mail from MAC talking about their short courses (100% Glamour, False Lashes, Bridal, Makeup Express, etc) and we were thinking about attending one of them. I know they're not particulary cheap, so has any of you taken any MAC courses? Are they worth the money?

Thank you & hope you're having a lovely week!

Spring Favourites

Hello everybody! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

For the past few days I've been wondering what my next post should be about and seeing as we've had such a warm, lovely weather this week, what could be possibly be better than a Spring Favourites? Notice that these products are not all necessarily new, you'll see. However, these are the ones I've been using the most lately.

Nivea Soft - As a girl who suffers from dry skin, I have tried a fair amount of moisturizing creams and I have found Nivea to be one of the best brands. However, a few of the ones I've tried do leave my face kind of greasy afterwards. Thankfully, not this one. My mom got it for me so I'd have a good moisturizer to carry around in my purse when I'm out, which is useful because it works on face, body and hands. It really does justice to its name - soft touch to the skin without being too greasy.

Fit Me! Foundation by Maybelline (225 Medium Buff) - Ever since I got it around Easter it's become my every day foundation. I don't know if I'd recommend it to someone who needs/wants a full, dense coverage, but it works just well if you don't have that much to cover and you only want to make your skin look healthire and give it some colour (which is my case now that thankfully the cold weather is gone!).

KIKO Smart Lipstick (Crimson Red) - A few weeks ago I realized I was lacking a good pink lipstick, so I went to KIKO because they've got great stuff at affordable prices and... tadá! They've got a new collection of Smart Lipsticks and found this great shade of pink. It doesn't look as fuchsia on the lips, but it really does lighten up your face and I find it to be highly moisturizing.

Kate Moss for Rimmel London (Shade 104) - This is not a Spring Favourite really, but a Favourite in general. Got this around January, I believe, and I think it's the most wearable lipstick I own. I'm not one to wear lipstick to college because I always feel like "it's too much" , but I don't mind wearing this one. The only thing I don't like about it is that it does leave my lips feeling a bit dry. (And the fact that it doesn't have a name but a number - how lazy is that!?)

KIKO Creamy Lipstick (Shade 392) - I've had this one for ages (and I don't think it's even available anymore) and it's now that I'm using it. It's a nice shade of red, not too bright, not too dark; and it really is creamy, which makes it end up everywhere if worn without applying lip liner first.

Sleek Palette (Oh So Special) - Okay, I might be cheating a little bit on this one. I just purchased it yesterday, so I haven't even used it yet, but I'm in love with it. When it comes to eyeshadows, I'm all for neutral tones, so I love the browns and darker tones in this palette, but it was the pink shadows that won me over. Can't wait to try them out.

Someday by Justin Bieber - Alright, I'm a cheater! This lovely bottle of perfume is not even mine, it  belongs to my younger sister. She recently got both of Justin Bieber's fragances and I can't help myself from borrowing it from her every now and then (I'm a sucker for sweet fragances!). It's got a really nice floral scent to it and I never thought I'd say this about it, but I honestly love it.

Pink Blush - I don't even know where this is from or when I got it. It doesn't even have a label, the package is just plain black, but I wanted a pink blush and I found this one at home. It doesn't last for the longest time, but it's a nice colour and it will have to do the job until I can afford a decent NARS blush! (Sad face.)

KIKO Nail Lacquer (297 Acid Green) - Nothing special about the colour really, just a light green that I think fits this season perfectly. What I like the most about nail varnishes from KIKO is how much they last - took it off today after seven days and hadn't I been bored of wearing the same colour for a whole week, I could have had it on for a few more days.

Essence Colour & Go (Oh My Glitter!) - I like all Essence nail varnishes in general, but I'm IN LOVE with this one. I'm not used to wearing purple on my nails, but this one's a lovely shade and guess what! It's got pink(ish) glitter on it. I tried to take a decent shoot of it, see picture below (click to enlarge).

H&M (Sporty Pink) - Saw this on H&M at 1'99€ and had to buy it. Nice colour, nice finish, it doesn't get chipped too easily. Very small bottle, but what can you expect for such a low price? What surprised me the most about this one is that you don't need to apply a thousand layers to make it opaque, but sadly I can't say the same about the mint green one from the same collection (Go Green!).

And that's it for now! Sorry this was such a long post, but there are just too many things I love at the moment. Actually I think I will probably have to do another Spring Favourites blog before Summer!

Daisies & Lipsticks - The Beginning

Hello to you reading this and welcome to my blog!

A few weeks ago I realized I was wasting way too much free time procrastinating instead of doing something useful with my life. Then I thought, what do you like to do the most? And the answer is: writing, English, makeup, fashion and so on. Which is the best way to let all this creativity out? That's it! A blog!

The truth is that talking about and wanting to do is much easier than actually doing it. It's taken me weeks to come up with a name I liked and to be honest, I'm still not sure of what this blog is going to be about! How unprofessional of me! To begin with, as I said, the content of this blog will include all things makeup and fashion. News I find interesting, reviews, things I enjoy or dislike. But in all honesty, I will probably end up talking about my two other great passions too, music and literature, because somehow I always end up rambling on. ;)

So basically, that's me. A girl with a lot of things to talk about and who's just found a creative getaway. I am no expert in any of these things but I'm already enjoying this, so hopefully if anyone reads this blog they'll enjoy it too.

Love,
-T-

PS. Pardon my English. I am not a native English speaker, so I'm very likely to make some mistakes!
